It’s time for our beloved Ashland Musical Variety Show! The 2011 show is “Ashland’s Got Talent“, and we have terrific numbers for everyone.
The goal of our 2011 show is to produce a show that tops the 2009 show! Our motto is “short, fun and funny.” And, as always, we hope to solicit more folks to celebrate our community with enjoyable rehearsal and performance experiences. We appreciate all of the impressive talent in our midst, and we hope to showcase all levels of talent, making everyone feel good about his or her moment in the spotlight. We thank you in advance for the good spirit with which you share your time, energy, ideas, and talent with our community—all for a good cause.
NEW THIS YEAR - Sign up online here. One application per person. (We reserve the right to cancel or change numbers, talent, time, etc.) Ashland residency is not required. All, from ages K and up, welcomed. Talent is not required, but is appreciated.
Rehearsals will begin January 18, at the Hanover Arts & Activities Center at 500 S. Center Street, Ashland (798-2728). You will receive a rehearsal schedule by mail with your numbers. Most rehearsals will be between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Most numbers rehearse an average of 30 minutes at a time.

Show week—Act I run- through on Monday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Randolph-Macon College (R-MC). Act II run- through on Tuesday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m. at R-MC. Full Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. at R-MC. Performances at 7:30 p.m. on March 24, 25, 26 in Blackwell Auditorium on the campus of R-MC.
